We hope that our story gives you a glimpse of the faithfulness of our God and how He has drawn us closer to Himself and to each other over the past 23 years. We are so thankful for each one of you and how you have impacted our story, and we cannot wait to celebrate together on June 21, 2025.
Pierson and I have known each other for as long as both of us can remember. We both went to Leikas for preschool, and there is truly no place like it. Leikas taught us so many things in our four years, but most importantly, planted seeds that formed the foundation of our faith. We graduated kindergarten together at Leikas, then went to Morgan for our elementary school years. From Easter egg hunts at his family’s house to sharing birthday parties, there are too many memories to count.
Pierson and I were always friends, and our freshman year, he tried to ask me to our first Homecoming but his proposal was a few hours late. I had no idea, but he had a poster made but someone else beat him to it. Later that year, I asked him to our Sadie Hawkins dance. We were still nothing more than friends. In the fall of our junior year, we became closer and in February, Pierson asked me to prom, and we started dating shortly after.
After graduation from Morgan in 2019, we both were off to college at UA. We have so many fun memories from college, and it was so special to get to do it all together. Football games, date parties, beach trips, formal, and more, and I cannot imagine not having each other during such a fun and important time in our lives. Most importantly, our time in Tuscaloosa brought some of our best friends and continued to grow our faith. It’s not lost on me how lucky we both are to have families who set the example of following Christ and what it looks like to live out your faith. Because of that, we both prioritized our faith during this time of our lives.
After graduating from UA, we both had plans for professional school in two different places. Pierson’s plans were changed, and he had the opportunity to move to Birmingham. We both are confident that the Lord’s plans prevail, and He has been so faithful to us. We have seen the evidence of His goodness in our lives and know that he has already written the story of our life together.
We truly have done every part of life together, and I cannot wait to be his wife! We are so excited for June 21, 2025!
